Southeastern University (SEU) has strived to train ministers and missionaries who have personal authenticity and professional ability since SEU founding in 1935. No matter which field of ministry you are called to, at UMA this degree will help you acquire the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a leadership or support role in ministry.

About This Degree

The online Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership degree program prepares you for ministry leadership — in local churches, faith-based non-profit organizations, and other ministry contexts — through an interdisciplinary curriculum of courses in foundational core (i.e., English, psychology, math, science, etc.), Bible, theology, ministry, and ministry practicum. You will also select an 18 hour track for the final part of your major core to further advance your knowledge in a specific area of ministry leadership: Biblical Studies, Christian Ministry, Worship Ministry, or Pastoral Care & Counseling.

To further advance your knowledge, there are four concentration tracks available in this degree: Biblical Studies, Christian Ministry, Worship Ministries, and Pastoral Care & Counseling.

  • Apply the ideas you are learning in your courses to real-life ministry work in a local church through two required ministry practicum courses.
